About Us

NAMI is non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of
life for all persons whose lives have been touched by mental illness including
schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.
There are chapters in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. Nationwide. NAMI
has more than 220,000 members nationwide.

NAMI ELKGROVE/SCHAUMBURG,is a part of an extended network working
at the local, state and national levels. Composed of all volunteers; it
promotes support, public education, quality care for independent living,
adequate health insurance and increased services for research to end the
stigma and discrimination against mental illness.

Nami promotes Education by
