Educational Opportunities

 A 12-week education course offered free to family members and caregivers of those with a mental illness. 

The class which is evidenced based is taught by
NAMI trained facilitators and provides vital information.  It includes the latest information on current treatments, how to handle crisis situations, problem solving, family support and coping strategies.  Preregistration is required.

In Our Own Voice:

 Your group or organization can schedule a dynamic presentation by local NAMI-trained volunteers who are living with a diagnosis of mental illness and are in recovery.  During the program our presenters bravely share their own personal experiences to  provide a better understanding of what it's like to live with mental illness.  The program covers many issues affecting persons with mental illness living in our communities.
